There are many people who face problems because they are charged for debts that they have not contracted, this occurs because the databases of banks or places where they grant loans may have records with errors and that affects the history in the Credit Bureau. That is why it is important that we all consult our information in the Bureau, to know if this is happening to us. Here we are going to talk about two of the most common errors for which you may be showing up with a ‘bad grade’.
In 2019, the Yotepresto.com platform conducted a survey of 600 people over 18 years of age in the cities of Mexico, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, among the relevant responses it stands out that 56.4% of those surveyed have had problems obtaining loans, of these, 58 % indicated that they have been denied the credits they requested due to having a negative credit history.

Of that 58%, 9.85% stated that problems with their negative credit history are due to the registration of erroneous information in the Credit Bureau. So if something similar has happened to you, you are not the only one. According to the loan platform, two of those mistakes that appear in the records of the Credit Bureau are that banks and financial institutions sometimes duplicate credit records or what they maintain as debts credits that have already been paid.
In the computer systems of banks and financial institutions there are several blocks of information where personal data can be updated and this generates inconsistencies in the records, which affects the quality of the databases that banks and institutions send. to the Bureau.
How can you monitor your credit history
In order for you to detect what your situation is, a first step is to do a periodic review of your history. It doesn’t have to be every month, but you should be on the lookout for an operation on your behalf. One of the measures that you can implement is to request the Special Credit Report from the Bureau, which you can apply for free once a year. And if you need to do it more frequently, you can contract other services they offer, among which is a package that includes alerts and four reports per year.
If you find an error, then you must make a claim and request the correction of the data that appears and hurts you.
Remember that having a healthy credit history will help you when you try to obtain a loan or acquire something that really interests you and is important. Don’t leave it to chance.
